Congratulations to Kresson Elementary School for winning this year's SPEAK Blue Star Award for the Abilities Awareness Poster Contest.  The theme was "Count Us In".  The winning poster was submitted by Elisabeth Laviolette, a 5th grader at Kresson.  Also pictured is our honorable mention classroom poster submitted by Mrs. Verma's 2nd grade class at Kresson.  Great job spreading our message of inclusion and acceptance!

We did it!  On Monday, April 29th The New Jersey Assembly voted unanimously to pass bills A3606 and A3608 and Resolution 129.  
Thank you for all your phone calls and emails because our elected officials took notice of our determination and voted YES!  Great Job!

Vikings and Pirates: The Quest for Adventure

Thank you to those who attended Saturday evening’s performance of SPEAK-Arts Vikings and Pirates: The Quest for Adventure! The performance was truly amazing!  Many thanks, also, to the instructors, stage crew and volunteers for making this program possible and for sharing their time and talents with the families of the SPEAK-Arts program. It is through your dedication that these opportunities are made possible for our children and we are truly grateful!

SPEAK is pleased to announce that the recipient of this year’s “Road to Success Scholar Award” is Mrs. Blossom’s self-contained class at Kresson Elementary School. In response to Mrs. Blossom’s request, SPEAK will be providing funding for educational I-pad apps and a hook up for the smart board for class instruction and participation. Congratulations to Mrs. Blossom and to all her students!
